Vision Direct Celebrates its Partnership with Unite for Sight
Through its donations of prescription eyewear, Vision Direct is proud to be making an impact on the fight against vision impairment
Vision Direct, a leading global e-retailer of prescription eyewear, announced that through its partnership with Unite for Sight, it had donated 5,000 pairs of prescription glasses in February 2023 to Ghana for those in need.
Unite for Sight is a non-profit organisation with the goal of eliminating avoidable blindness in developing nations. The glasses were distributed to local eye clinics and eye care teams in Ghana to provide much-needed eyewear to aspiring students, working adults and elderly villagers.
Vision Direct began working with Unite for Sight in 2009, where every purchase of prescription glasses on the website was matched by donating a pair of eyewear. Through this partnership, Vision Direct has contributed over 75,000 pairs of prescription glasses to Unite for Sight, significantly impacting the fight against vision impairment.
